Welcome to Pearled Wing

 

I am a crochet designer from the beautiful South West countryside of England.

 

​I was a dedicated knitter for decades, but found my passion in bringing my designs to life through crochet in early 2021.​

 

My first pattern, Isca, was independently published in 2022 and since then I have released many more designs.

 

My patterns have featured in Crochet Now magazine and Crochet Foundry Magazine.

 

​I have a background in costume design and hold a degree in Costume for the Screen and Stage BA (Hons) from the Arts Institute at Bournemouth.

 

​I enjoy creating garments with a dramatic flair and a nod to clothing of the past. ​I am passionate about exploring complicated stitches and mixing stitch patterns.

About my Patterns

You may find my patterns aren’t suitable for beginners.

​

I include written instructions and as many photos of the process as I can. Where possible I also add charts. Some of my later patterns have links to YouTube videos.

Whilst my patterns have been tested and I’ve had some great feedback to make my patterns clearer, a lot of my testers are incredible, intuitive, experienced crocheters. So if there’s anything you don’t understand, please send me a message via my contact form, email or Instagram.
