Amanita Sweater

Project type

Crochet Pattern

Amanita is named for amanita muscaria or Fly Agaric, the beautiful and poisonous spotted mushroom.
Amanita features ribbing and bobbles.

Amanita is a sweater which features long ribbing for the lower half of the body and sleeves. The rest of the body features a textured bobbly stitch pattern.

This is a measure-along pattern with instructions rather than specific rows and stitch counts. I have included information about my gauge, the yarn and hook I used but as this is a measure along you work from your own gauge swatch and do not need to match mine. You will see, from the photos included in this guide, how you can change different elements of Amanita to suit you.

I am an XL-2XL with a 46” bust and I used around 670g, almost 400g of which was the yarn for the coloured bobbly part. The amount you need will depend upon your size and the length of the ribbing.

I used Aran weight yarn with a 5mm hook.

This is a 40 page pattern with many photos. The pattern also includes a link to a printer friendly no-pictures version.
